Bucharest, December 12th, 2007 – Starting November 2007, UniCredit Leasing has successfully introduced the system of online registrations, thus reducing to a considerable extent the time needed for car registrations to only 24 hours since the date when all the documents needed for matriculation are received. The implementation of this new system was made possible due to the sustained effort of UniCredit Leasing together with the local authorities – The Division of Driving Licenses and Car Registration, having the common goal of perfecting certain European instruments to the benefit of the users.

Another modern instrument efficiently implemented by UniCredit Leasing is the electronic platform for the local authorities’ access to the client data base – The Bucharest Bureau of the Traffic Police, and the Ilfov Bureau of Traffic Police. The new platform will facilitate a faster identification of the cars’ users by the local authorities. This will significantly diminish the time for UniCredit Leasing clients’ notification and car fines delivery, thus reducing the eventual penalties caused by delays. At the end of 2006, the leasing company has registered an active car portfolio of approximately 30.000 vehicles.
